Yati Narsinghanand is a priest from Uttar Pradesh who is currently in the spotlight for making communally divisive statements. While the priest was addressing an all-women gathering in Haridwar, talking about how they can “save” their community, Narsinghanand said that Hindu women should have more and more children.
“That woman who produces only one child is not a woman but a naagin”, he said. Moreover, he also said that “Ghar mein kam se kam 5-6 baal gopal ho…Aur bachhe paida karein.” He added that it is better not to have kids than have only one. In order to preserve the culture, the priest has urged families to live in joint setups.
