On Tuesday, the officials said that provisionally, the IT department has attached various properties worth Rs.1000 crores across Maharashtra, Delhi, and Goa that is linked to the state’s deputy CM Ajit Pawar.
According to the officials, the attached properties also include a cooperative sugar factory. The I.T department took action after they discovered an unaccounted income of around Rs. 184 crore in the previous month during a big search operation. Tax searches were conducted in the properties that are owned by Ajit Pawar’s sisters.
Pawar insisted that the entities that are linked to him have regularly paid taxes.
