The Allahabad University will conduct its final year and final semester examinations online in digital mode this year.
While these examinations will begin from the second week of September. The University is expected to release the exam schedule on Tuesday and the exams are likely to be held in the second week of September.
The varsity had already conducted the graduation examinations for nine days before the nationwide lockdown was announced due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The pending exams will also be conducted through the online medium now.
According to a notice issued by the Controller of Examinations, students who would appear for the online examinations will have to download the question paper from the official site of the University.
The examination duration would be four hours — two hours for writing the paper and two hours to scan the copy and upload it.
Meanwhile, Lucknow University has already released the exam date sheet for the final year exams which will begin on September 8 and end on September 19.
The time table has been released for B.A., B.Sc, B.Com, and other undergraduate-level programmes on the official site.
The students of all other semesters will be promoted without any exams, according to media reports.
The papers which were postponed will now be taken through online-mode.
The decision to conduct exams was taken at a meeting of the Academic Council. According to Amar Ujala, students had requested the university administration to either postpone or carry out the exams in the online mode.
However, those who have to take exams will be required to download question papers from the official website allduniv.ac.in.
Each exam will be for four hours, two hours will be given for writing the paper and the remaining for scanning and uploading it on the university’s website.
