67.6% Indians have Covid antibodies, 40 crore individuals still at risk – ICMR Survey

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) conducted its fourth nationwide serological survey in June and July and came up with amazing results.

The survey shows that two-third of Indians above the age of 6 had SARS-CoV-2 antibodies.

Mentioning in, the results of the survey said that around 40 crore people or one-third of the country’s population is still vulnerable to the novel coronavirus.

The ICMR survey was conducted all over the country in the months of June and July and its findings are important because for the first time, children aged 6-17 years were included in it. 

The results of the survey were released by DG, ICMR, Dr Balram Bhargava.
