On Monday, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) busted a major drug racket at the Bandra-Kurla area of Western Mumbai. The NCB allegedly seized 109.8 gm of mephedrone, Rs 77.92 lakh in cash and 585.5 gm gold ornaments worth Rs 29.4 lakh from the Bandra residences after 3 drug peddlers were caught whose interrogation is underway.

The gang, as per officials, was lead by 2 women who have a huge networking of drug peddlers. The 2 have been selling contraband, especially mephedrone, in Bandra, BKC and Kurla and some of the nearby areas, zonal director of NCB Sameer Wankhede added.

Adding in, Wankhede said, “The NCB Mumbai team received several complaints from local residents of Bandra area and some of them even sent emails about this organised drug gang and their drug distribution activity, especially amongst underage children”.

The NCB deployed several teams near Bori Kabrasthan, LBS Road in Kurla (West).

The intercepted individuals have been recognised as Shahnawaz Shahid Khan and Aalam Naeem Khan and Ravi Arhhan Memon.
