With not-so stable Covid-19 cases in the country and its capital, Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal said that the schools in the national capital won’t resume offline classes.
The predicted third wave is said to hit the children of the country the most and hence, CM Kejriwal said that until the vaccination is not complete, “we cannot take risk” with children.
Many states have resumed offline classes including Maharashtra which is the worst hit state of the country and hence, the CM was asked about the reopening.
Schools in Delhi, just like the other states, were shut in the months of April last year though reopened for a while on conditions, but are now completely shut for the students.
Delhi reported 72 new coronavirus caseson Thursday, which were slightly lesser than Wednesday’s figures when it stood at 77.
Delhi, as of July 15, has vaccinated more than 1 million beneficiaries in the age group of 18-45 years with the first dose.
