Entertainment Society of Goa  cancels all the permissions for Films and serials shooting

On Thursday Goa reported 3,869 new coronavirus cases, the highest rise in a single day. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the state has reached 1,08,267.
From 7,518 swab samples test 3,869 were positive. This means, every second person is testing positive.
Two government-appointed medical officials working at the state’s COVID-19 data collection centre in the capital Panaji said the positivity rates in tests since April were between 40% to 51%, the highest in the country.
On Thursday, the Entertainment Society of Goa for film and television serial shootings in the state due to rise in COVID-19 pandemic.

Several film and TV serial makers from Mumbai and Chennai recently shifted their shootings to Goa due to rise in Covid-19 cases in respective areas, ESG’s Vice Chairman Subhash Faldesai told PTI.

“We will not allow any shooting of films or television serials in public or private properties,” he said.

All those currently shooting films and serials in Goa have also been asked to wind up their schedules, Faldesai said.

Faldesai said the state government has enforced strict curbs, including imposition of Section 144 of CrPC, which bans assembly of five or more people at one place, due to which shootings cannot be permitted.
“We will not allow any shooting of films or television serials in public or private properties,” he said.
