Amidst the rising cases of Covid-19 cases, lakhs of people are gathering daily on the ghats of Haridwar to take a holy dip into the Ganga river during the ongoing Kumbh Mela. Despite of the pandemic, social distancing norms are being openly violated and large number of people are roaming without masks. In general, the Shahi snans and the Kumbh Mela has triggered rising concerns over their role in the possibility of adding the number of covid cases in the country.
On the social media, public is demanding to stop the ongoing Kumbh Mela right away. Meanwhile, there are people who are not against to stop the ongoing Kumbh Mela. They urge that the Mela should be carried on and no one should interfere with faith.
However, during such controversial times, Mr. Harsh Goenka, who is the Chairman of RPG Group, he holds the company of CEAT tyres, had put up a joke on twitter about Sadhus at the Kumbh Mela. The tweet has been deleted since he received negative remarks for his tweet. His tweet is seen to be Hinduphobic. Previous jokes posted by him on Twitter are shared again on twitter.
Some people believe that the joke should not be taken seriously, but some have been offended already. They have called for boycotting CEAT tyres.

I think people do have a right to say they are offended and say #BoycottCeat .
But I think personally we are carrying our RELIGION too far. He is just trying to make us laugh. I don't think his intention is to offend anyone.
