Reliance Foundation’s Chairperson and Founder, Philanthropist Nita Ambani, on Friday, sent an e-mail to all the Reliance employees as well as their family members, urging them to register themselves for getting vaccinated with the Covid-19 vaccine shots. Nita Ambani said that it will be the Company that would bear the complete cost of vaccination for the employees plus their spouse, parents and children too.

In the mail, the non-executive director of Reliance Industries said treasuring the health and happiness of our family is what it means to be part of a family–the Reliance family.

Nita Ambani said, “With your support, we will soon be able to put the pandemic behind us. Until then do not let your guard down. Continue to take the utmost safety and hygiene precautions. We are in the last stages of the collective battle. Together we must win and we will win.”

Previously, in the Reliance Family Day 2020 message, chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani had given pledges that as soon as any approved vaccine is available in India, Reliance would plan early vaccination for all employees and family members.

The government of India, on March 1st 2021, started the second phase of the Corona vaccination drive. In this phase, people over the age of 60 and those over the age of 45 suffering from comorbidities are prioritized. Under the largest vaccination drive, the health ministry urged the states/UTs to utilise 100% capacities of all private hospitals under the said category to enable them to effectively function as vaccination centres.
