Mehul Choksi, a ranaway diamond merchant, has stepped up against Netflix’s “Bad Boy Billionaires”, releasing on September 2, filing a case in the Delhi High Court.
“The docuseries tours the selfishness, scams and bribery that grew – and ultimately exposed – India’s most infamous big shots,” Netflix.
Vijay Mallya, Mehul Choksi and his nephew Nirav Modi, among others, will be spotlighted.
Choksi has made a plea to the court to see the Preview prior to the release as, “the web series can shape the investigation in the fraud case,” Choksi’s lawyer added.
The OTT platform has notified the court that Choksi’s story is displayed for just 2 mins. Noting the case down, the next hearing is set on August 28, 2020.
Mehul Choksi and nephew Nirav Modi are accused in the ₹ 13,5000 crore Punjab National Bank fraud case and his links to companies named by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in a list of the top 50 scammers has come up this year.
This has lead to Choksi’s handover request from Antigua by the Investigating officials.
