Yet another Sunday morning with the radios turned on to listen to the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who spoke to the nation through the program first time this year. Addressing the 73rd episode of the monthly radio programme, PM Modi said that the nation was shocked to witness the insult of the Tricolour on Republic Day.

The Prime Minister spoke right from the Vaccination process to the Republic Day deeds that happened in the country. Being the first episode, he addressed the people with everything that happened in the last month of the New Year. 

PM Modi’s address comes ahead of the presentation of the Union Budget on Monday when Nirmala Sitharaman will read the Budget for 2021-22 and is expected to pave way for the country’s economic recovery post-Covid.

  • PM Modi started off the session saying, “The country was saddened by the insult to the Tricolour on the 26th January in Delhi. We have to infuse times to come with new hope. Last year, we displayed exemplary patience & courage. This year too, we have to work hard to attain our resolves.”

  • He then went on to appreciate Team India’s win in Australia and said, “This month, we got good news from the cricket pitch. After initial hiccups, the Indian team bounced back gloriously and won the series in Australia. Our team’s hard work and teamwork was inspiring.”

  • The Prime Minister then mentioned the statements of the Brazilian Leader Jair Bolsonaro who thanked India for sending Covid-19 vaccine doses to Brazil and that he referred to Ramayana and called the vaccines ‘Sanjeevni Booti’. 
  • “India is able to help other nations with the vaccines because India, today is independent in the field of Medicines and Vaccines,” said PM Modi while appreciating the Vaccine process in the country.
  • PM Modi also urged saying, “I call upon all the countrymen and especially our young friends, to write about our freedom fighters, events associated with it & write books about tales of valour during freedom struggle from their areas. Now that India is going to celebrate 75 years of its independence, your writings will be an ideal tribute to the heroes of freedom movement.”
  • “Be it any field, participation of nation’s women is continuously increasing,” said Modi when he was happy to praise the four Indian women pilots that commanded a direct flight from San Fransisco in US to Bengaluru.
  • PM Narendra Modi said, “We are not only running the WORLD’S BIGGEST VACCINATION DRIVE but we are also the FASTEST IN VACCINATING our citizens. India has vaccinated 30 lakh corona warriors in 15 days.”
