Key Points:

  • Union home minister Amit Shah on Sunday said the BJP would remove encroachments in Hyderabad and also liberate it from the ‘Nizam culture’ to turn it into a flood-free and global information technology hub.
  • “There will be neither appeasement nor any discrimination if the BJP comes to power in Hyderabad,” assured Shah.

On Sunday, November 29, Union Minister Amit Shah promised the citizens of Hyderabad that if the Lotus Government gets elected in the region, the Nizam culture will no more prevail in the city.

The Minister also vowed that the party would make Hyderabad a Global IT Hub and a Modern City, if elected in today’s Civic Elections of the city.

A long-held, one-hour Road show took place at Warasiguda in Secunderabad as part of campaign for Bharatiya Janata Party for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections to be held on December 1. Amit Shah said that Hyderabad is an integral part of the country.

“Give one chance to the Bharat Janata Party (BJP) in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Elections (GHMC) and we will transform the city from dynasty rule to democratic rule, from corruption to Good governance from Secrecy to Transparency. There will be no more ‘Nizami and Nawabi Culture’ and the city will be a ‘Mini Bharat’,” Shah said, while speaking to reporters at the BJP at the party state headquarters after the roadshow.

Amit Shah seemed confident when he said that the Hyderabad would have a BJP Mayor after the December 1 polls and that the Lotus party will form its Government in Telangana after the Assembly elections.

“Hyderabad will be a city where none will be appeased and no injustice shown to anyone,” Amit Shah.

Amit Shah demanded to know if KCR (K. Chandrashekar Rao – CM of Telangana) had the courage to openly tell the people about his party’s “secret” alliance with AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen).

“Owaisi knows who wanted to merge Hyderabad with Pakistan. We don’t appease anybody, but serve everybody. All our welfare schemes are meant for Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, irrespective of whether they are Hindus or Muslims,” he said.

“Our goal is to come to power in the next Telangana elections,” Shah concluded.
