Padhumani Penn scheme provides financial assistance to girl students and is focused to motivate them from society’s lower strata to fulfill their academic goals without facing obstacles.
On Monday, a savings bank account debit card was given by the Tamil Nadu government to the beneficiaries throughout the southern districts.
Under the Padhumani Penn scheme, Rs.1,000 a month will be paid to the girl students in classes VI to XII in the government schools until their undergraduate degree, diploma, and ITI course are completed. The scheme’s benefit would be for nearly one lakh students in Tamil Nadu. Every month, this financial assistance would be provided to all eligible students.
