Chhatisgarh becomes the first state in India to procure gaumutra

Throughout the country, Chhattisgarh has become the first state to procure cow urine. Not just this, Chhattisgarh is also the first state in the country that procures dung from villagers and farmers. On the occasion of Hareli Tihaar, the procurement of Guamutra was started by CM Bhupesh Baghel. On Friday, a grand Hareli celebration programme was held at the CM House in which the CM launched the initiative.

While speaking at the event, the CM said that there are many states in India that have begun to adopt this scheme in consideration of the multi-dimensional positive effect of the Godhan Nyay Yojana. He also added that, in Gauthan, cow dung is being sold at Rs.2 per kg by people from various sections of the society under this scheme.
