NEET this year has been a completely different exam with a lot of hurdles to conduct it and with new rules and additions. Recently, the government has announced a 27% quota for the Other Backward Classes (OBC) Students in the NEET exam.
Keeping that in mind, the members of the All India Other Backward Classes (OBC) Students Association on Monday held a meeting with Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the Central government’s decision to implement 27% reservation for the OBC community in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).
The OBC students’ body thanked the Union Government and the Minister for proposing and supporting this decision.
From the admissions this year, 27% of seats will be reserved for OBC plus 10% of seats will be reserved for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates.
This is in addition to 15% reservation for SC and 7.5% for ST category students.
