With climate change so prominent all over the globe, India, a country that has its 2 sides aligned with water bodies, will also have a huge impact.

A recent report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has warned India that 12 coastal cities in the country will submerge into the water due to the rising sea levels by the end of the century.

IPCC, in its report, mentioned that the cities could be nearly three feet underwater by the century’s end.

Adding to this, the United Nations report said that almost 40 million people in India will be at risk from sea level rise by 2050.

The analysis comes from NASA, which has used the IPCC report to assess changes in sea levels across the world.
