On Wednesday, an amount of Rs.10,000 crore was approved by the Centre to develop the railway stations of New Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. While giving a nod to this project, it was also decided that these three railway stations will be integrated with bus, auto, and metro rail services.
On Tuesday, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the tenders for the redevelopment of these train stations will be issued within the period of the next 10 days. The aim to complete this project of redeveloping New Delhi train station is in three and a half years. The other two stations will be developed in two and a half years.
