  • Uttarakhand has lifted its travel restrictions
  • The COVID-19-negative report is no longer mandatory for hotel-check-in for tourists in Uttarakhand.

In India, as the lockdown is being lifted in a graded manner, the tourism sector has been gradually opening up but with strict guidelines. The Uttarakhand government has now relaxed coronavirus-led restraints as the state gets back to normalcy. As per the revised set of protocols, it is no longer necessary for tourists to carry a coronavirus negative report for hotel-check-in in Uttarakhand.

In its fresh guidelines, the government said the new rules will come into effect from Wednesday. Tourists will have to register the modes of transportation they will use to travel. The guidelines directed the management of hotels to immediately inform district administrations if any of their guests is found Covid-19 positive.

In case you are planning to travel to visit Uttarakhand anytime soon, here are things to keep in mind, as mentioned on the government’s tourism website:B
