This is another incident of religious conflict in which a UP man from Sambhal has been arrested for selling chicken from his meat shop on paper that has photos of Hindu deities, and has also attacked a police team.
According to reports, it was on Sunday when the incident took place. Police said that the people complained that Talib Hussain sold chicken from his meat shop on a piece of paper that depicted Hindu God and Goddess, thus hurting the religious sentiments.
The accused has been booked under IPC Section 153 – A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence), 295A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) and 307 (attempt to murder).
