34 swine flu cases along with 3 deaths have been recorded in the Thane district. The highest in Thane district among these are 20 cases and 2 deaths from July 1. There are provisions for special swine flu wards or beds in the Civil Hospital and also in the Thane Civic Body’s jurisdiction.
Across Thane, nearly 1.17 lakh tests have been done on cases that were suspected till now. It has been claimed by the Thane district authorities that in order to bring the cases under control, the needed prophylactic measures have been taken. Across the city, there are patients who are admitted to private facilities. For swine flu patients, a 20-bed ward has been created by the Thane Civil Hospital.
