After a period of five months, Covid cases in Thane have breached the 300 mark. Thane, on June 25, recorded 340 fresh cases whereas currently, the number of cases in Thane stands at 374.
Among 1,804 active cases in Thane, 94 are hospitalized from which no one is on a ventilator. In Thane, testing centres have been increased by the Thane Municipal Corporation, especially in areas like Varyak Nagar and Patlipada. The reason for an increase in testing centres in places like Vartak Nagar and Patlipada is the dense population and the areas are reporting many cases.
Thane has around 30 health centres including Kalwa’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Hospital. Moreover, 5 other testing centres have also begun. Testing centres are located below Patlipada flyover, Cadbury naka flyover, near Thane railway station, civil hospital and SATIS bridge.
