The Residents of Mumbai’s Kandivali Hiranandani housing society have alleged that they were given duplicate Covid-19 vaccine in a society vaccination drive.

As per the inhabitants, a person approached the housing society claiming to be a representative of Kokilaben Ambani Hospital and claimed that he has already organised few vaccination drives for corporate houses and colleges. The society gave the job to conduct the drive to this person.

The Residents are claiming the way drive was conducted was fishy as their details were not taken properly.they were not given any invoice of the vaccination and none of those who took the jab got any side effect.

Kokilaben Hospital has said that they don’t conduct these outdoor drives. Around 390 people were given a duplicate vaccine.

The vaccination certificates were given to them after some days and those certificates were also from different hospitals from different dates. This confirmed to the residents that they were cheated.

As per Addtl CP, North Zone, Mumbai, “We are conducting a primary inquiry in the case. Once that inquiry will be concluded, then only we will take any action, as in file an FIR or whatever is required as per the law.”
