There is a good news for all the PUBG mobile fans in India, the game might re-enter the market soon. However, the name will be different. The South Korean video game developer named “Krafton” has announced a new game for the Indian market known as “Battlegrounds Mobile India”. According to the trailer, the new battle royale game looks a lot similar like the original PUBG Mobile that was very popular in the country before it was banned last year in September.
Krafton, in a press statement has said that, “BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA will release with exclusive in-game events like outfits and features and will have its own esports ecosystem with tournaments and leagues.” This game will be available to play for FREE on smartphones.
The company has said that before the game launches, there will be a period of pre-registration.
This game is likely a substitute for PUBG mobile and the game will be available to play only in India.
Krafton also has plans to build an escorts ecosystem and it will also bring in-game content on regular basis. The company has planned to start with a series of India specific in-game events at launch. The details for the same will be revealed later.
The company has not announced the exact release date. Before the game gets released, there will be a link going up for pre-registration. Furthermore, users will have to register on Google Play or the Apple App store and will have to wait till the game becomes available for download.
Along with this, Krafton has also said that it will work with partners, to ensure data protection and security, at each stage and ensure that “privacy rights are respected, and all data collection and storage will be in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in India and for players.” It still remains unclear that who will be the partners for this process.
