Author Rashmi had been tackling challenges since a tender age and Writing became her Best Friend in the process. By age 13, Rashmi had written quotable quotes about life. Dejected, she recoiled into her shell after being laughed at by some relatives who found her quotes to be, silly ramblings of a 13-year-old. Nevertheless, her diary had become the love of her life.
Fast forward to 25 years and richer with even more excruciating and varied experiences, Rashmi now had the wherewithal to drench enough paper in ink for an entire book, and her FIRST BOOK was born. She was confident that the content was precious but she thought to heerself in doubt saying, “Is my writing good enough to hit the market?”
There were some professionals who told her, ‘its a cut throat competition out there’, some said ‘don’t even enter this arena’, a few others said ‘you have a long way to go’. We all, know what that means…. But Rashmi didn’t let all that phase her out, because there were many others who said that her material was unique and had huge potential. Most of all, that relentless, merciless critic inside Rashmi takes her where she needs to go.
Rashmi worked tirelessly, towards excellence in writing, and towards getting her book published. And the journey was not easy for the Author. She was knocked down more number of times than she expected, but she rose from the ashes each time, like a Phoenix. Rashmi’s second book titled ‘Men-Women, Mars-Venus & All That B***s***’ has just been released. A book that answers pertinent questions about gender and its workings.
Do men and women really belong to Mars and Venus?
Or is it time that they abandon those planets and land where they truly belong….mother earth?
Have we, as a human race botched up the real man and the real woman in the whirlwind of conditioning?
A woman in battle and a man in a nurturing role, how different are they?
What do the scientific facts claim?
How did our primates handle these differences, or is there any difference at all?
If yes, then what is the inherent difference between men and women?
What do these two formidable forces – Shiva and Shakti, Yin and Yang, Matter and Energy really signify? Hundreds of such questions have plagued the human kind and have remained an enigma ever since.
One will not just find answers to these questions in this book but will also step into a whole new world of radically different perspectives on the battle of the sexes – WHICH SEEM SO DIFFERENT AND YET SO RIGHT.
Currently, Rashmi is on her third non-fiction book, tentatively titled ‘Where Science and Spirit Meet – Patanjali Yogasutras.’
Through her journey, Rashmi realised that for an author, particularly for a non-fiction one, what is most important is the number of people that benefit from her/ his books.
Rashmi reiterates, “It is a gift when people say things like, ‘your book changed my life’, ‘your book has saved my relationship’, ‘I randomly opened your book, and the page I read, was all I needed to sort things out’. Vicarious blessings, I would call them.”
The book ‘Men-Women, Mars-Venus & All That B***s***’ has been published by Vishwakarma Publications in association with literary Agency ‘The Book Bakers’.
