Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways was quoted saying that petrol will not be in use in the coming 5 years in India. The Minister also gave an example of bio-ethanol which is being made in the Vidarbha district of Maharashtra.
The Minister also cited that the usage of Green Hydrogen can also be done and it can be sold for Rs.70 per kg. He also purported that the country will run out of petrol in the coming five years, after which the use of that fuel will be banned.
Recently, the EV policy has also been given a nod by the Chhatisgarh Government so as to make Chhatisgarh a manufacturing hub for EVs for which the policy has been made.
