Hello! How have you been? This is your old friend with a new name!! Today, I’m here to share with you the beauty-fool-est morning of my life.
I never thought that my Tuesday morning in Gujarat would start like this. My eyes were closed but my ears, yes, they were Wide Open! I heard someone calling ‘KAMALAM’ and picking me up in their hands, viewing me from all sides and keeping me back where I was! I spoke to myself, “Who the hell is KAMALAM? Is he a new competitor to me?” I couldn’t sleep with that thought in my mind and I woke up. I woke up to see people calling ME as KAMALAM. I was stunned! I never knew that in India, they have Naming Ceremony for a ‘Fruit’!
I was wondering who gave me this ‘Lotussy’ name and it was the Gujarat’s Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, my Godfather, who gifted me with such a beautiful name. Do you know why he did this? Rupani said, “Dragon Fruit resembles to a Lotus and hence, the state government of Gujarat has decided to name it as ‘KAMALAM’.”
Father said that this was no political move even if he is a BJP CM and their logo is a Lotus flower. He said, “The name dragon fruit is not proper, and due to its name, one thinks of China. So, we have given it the name ‘Kamalam’” and they have even applied for the patent of my name! Interesting right?
How do you think is my new name? I am going to flex it all around Gujarat. What about your State? Are you gonna name me ‘Kamal’ or find my gender and name me ‘Kaml-i’ or maybe I resemble a Kiwi and you name me ‘न्यूझीलंडचा PINK रहिवासी’!
