Mumbai logged in 15,014 fresh Covid-19 cases, the city’s highest single-day spike ever. The last single-day highest case was recorded on April 4, 2021, with 11,206 fresh infections. With this, the city’s tally of Covid has jumped to 8,33,628.
In Mumbai, the overall growth rate of Covid cases is 0.78% and the doubling rate of the patients is 89 days. On Wednesday, 3 deaths were also reported in the city taking the tally to 16,384.
Last year, Dharavi was the Covid-19 hotspot, and now it has recorded 81 cases on Wednesday, which is also the highest since April 4.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has identified four wards where the spike in cases is concerning. The four wards are K/West, H/West, K/East, and the D Ward.
