On Thursday, Mumbai’s tally of Covid-19 cases rose to a three-month high when 223 cases were logged in. In January, after the third wave of Covid-Omicron, there was a fall of daily Covid cases under 30 on a few days in March before it saw a rise in mid-April.
On Thursday, the daily tally of Maharashtra rose to 316 cases. Maharashtra had recorded more than 300 cases after a gap of 67 days. There is no worry among the public health officials regarding the case rise.
It was in March 2020 when the Covid pandemic had hit the state and since then, it has claimed 1.47 lives, including 19,566 in Mumbai city.
