On 4 May, 2022, Mumbai logged 117 new Covid-19 cases, the highest daily count of cases in more than two months. The city reported zero deaths and a positivity rate of 1.66%. Currently, the city has 642 active cases. It has also administered 7,035 Covid-19 tests in a day.
Overall, the state logged 188 Covid cases along with zero deaths. The official data shows there are 1,049 active cases in Maharashtra. It was on February 24 when the city had logged the highest single day tally with 119 Covid cases.
The city is witnessing a marginal rise in the number of Covid cases as the nation is also witnessing a rise in Covid cases.
