On Monday, Uttar Pradesh police said that they have booked Union Minister of state for home Ajay Kumar Mishra Teni’s son Ashish Mishra and others for murder along with other charges that are based on the complaint lodged by the farmers in connection with the violence that happened on Sunday in the Lakhimpur district.
Vijay Dhull, who is the Lakhimpur Kheri superintendent of the police has said that the first information report (FIR) was filed under the IPC section 302 for murder, 120-B for criminal conspiracy, and 147 for rioting at Tikunia police station.
According to the police, eight people were killed as violence happened after a car hit the protesting farmers in the Lakhimpur Kheri. They also said that four farmers were killed after they were allegedly hit by a convoy along with four others who were traveling in one of the vehicles, they were beaten to death. The farmers were protesting against the three central farm laws.
