A student union has said that some ABVP members tried to stop the preparation of non-veg food. On the other hand, ABVP has claimed that the ‘Left’ students were trying to disrupt the pooja.

On Sunday, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) –  the student wing of the BJP, protested on the JNU Campus in Delhi and also demanded that on the day of a Hindu festival, non-veg food should not be prepared in the mess.

Rohit Kumar, ABVP’s JNU wing president said “Left and NSUI workers created a ruckus during the pooja in the university on the occasion of Ram Navami. There is no angle of non-veg food. They have a problem with programs on the occasion of Ram Navami.”
