President Trump has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize, following a historic peace deal brokered between Israel and the UAE. Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian Parliament and Chairman to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, submitted the nomination.
Tybring-Gjedde also cited Trump’s “key role in facilitating contact between conflicting parties,” such as the Kashmir border dispute between India and Pakistan, and the North and South Korea conflict.
The previous recipients of Nobel Peace Prize includes Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela, Barack Obama and Malala among others.
