CSK team which underwent a Covid-19 test on Thursday morning, have all tested negative for the second time.
This is a piece of great positive news for the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) as the entire Chennai Super Kings squad players who are currently in quarantine can now begin practice.
Kasi Viswanath the CEO of CSK who is currently present with the team said, “The players are now allowed to move out for practice”
He further added that the entire team was relieved with the negative tests and are gearing for the practice sessions which will begin either on Friday noon or Saturday morning as per the decision of the coach and the captain
However, the two CSK players Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaikwad who had tested positive last week are staying in a separate hotel and will have to undergo two fresh tests after their two-week quarantine only after which they will be allowed to step out for practice.
With all players tested negative, CSK is also looking forward to playing the opening game of the IPL 2020 against defending champions Mumbai Indians.
According to BCCI president Sourav Ganguly the much-awaited and delayed schedule of the Indian Premier League will be released by Friday, September 4.
The schedule is said to be released in Dubai by IPL Governing Council chairman Brijesh Patel The BCCI has been a handed exemption from quarantine for all the franchise and now players will not have to self-isolate upon traveling from Dubai to Abu Dhabi or Sharjah to Abu Dhabi. However, everyone associated with IPL 2020 will have to maintain the strict protocols linked to the bio-secure environment created by the respective franchises.
