Daily cases of the virus have dropped marginally from yesterday’s count with nearly 3.4 lakh new infections reported on Friday. However, in the current wave, the day’s death toll has risen to the highest in this wave.
On Friday, India has recorded 3,36,762 fresh Covid cases, dropped from the previous day’s case tally of around 3.48 lakh.
Till close midnight, nearly 407 fatalities were reported from the virus, reportedly the highest during the third wave. On Wednesday, the toll was 404. Maharashtra reported the highest case tally on Friday at 48,270.
