Replying to opposition’s allegations that he has not done enough to help those areas affected by cyclone Tauktae, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in a dig aiming at Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that, “I was at least taking stock of the situation on the ground and not conducting an aerial survey in a helicopter”, Thackeray said.
The BJP has criticized the Chief Minister for visiting Konkan for only four hours. “It’s been four hours. I didn’t come here for photosession. I don’t feel the need for it,” CM said.
On Friday, CM Uddhav Thackeray visited Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts in Konkan to know the ground situation in the consequence of the cyclone, and directed the authorities to complete the crop loss assessment within two days.
