An Startup named WakeFit has again opened its registrations for interns.

Started back in 2019, the mattress company came up with a ‘dreamy’ offer where a person had to sleep at a long stretch of time for a stipulated number of days. The company was willing to pay Rs 1 lakh for the same.

While this might seem like a “not so difficult” task for many, it is not easy to become an intern for this company. The applicants have to really prove to the bosses that sleeping is their topmost priority and that is what they love to do the most.

It was a successful venture previous year as around 1.7 lakh participants had signed up, out of which 23 interns were able to make it.

On their website, the company has started the application process for 2021 and has asked for volunteers to participate for the same.

The purpose behind this is to change the mindset towards ‘sleep’ and also how it can be productive as well as healthy. While the interns do the needful on the special mattresses provided to them, the company will track the sleep patterns of each and every one of them for 100 days. The company will provide counselors who will be available as well as sleep trackers will be given to the candidates. The full money will only be given to those who are able to complete this internship.

The qualities required to be an sleep intern with WakeFit :

1) Must have completed degree in any field. A history of falling asleep during class will be counted as relevant experience.

2) The company is seeking sleepy self-starters who are motivated enough to stay in bed for at least 8 hours of solid sleep.

3) Demonstrated track record of prioritising sleep over social media.

4) Attention to detail and a passion for clean bedsheets, cosy blankets and funky pajamas.

5) Should be able to fall asleep within 10-20 minutes of hitting the pillow.

6) Strong knowledge and a distinctive point of view on sleep products and how they contribute to better sleep.

7) Should demonstrate qualities of a team player, when the team is likely to miss their bedtime or likely to indulge in activities that discourage sleep.

8) Past Experience in sleeping in any kind of environment – irrespective of noise and brightness levels.

9) A focused and disciplined approach to record and analyse personal sleeping patterns.
