On Tuesday, a press note issued by Tardeo RTO said that as per the Motor Vehicle Amendment Act, the collegians at a minimum age of 18 years who are applying for a two-wheeler or a car driving license will have a validity for a period of 22 years.
Regional Transport Officer (Tardeo) Bharat Kalaskar said “Many citizens are unaware of the validity of licenses depending on age group. Our press note explains that for those upto 30 years of age, the driving license will be valid till age of 40. For the 31 to 50 years age group, the validity of a new license/renewal will be for ten years while for the 51-55 age group, the new license will be valid till the age of 60,” quoted The Times Of India.
He added that for the ones who are above 55 and are applying for license/renewal, will have a validity for a period of 5 years.
