Warner Bros gave out a shocking news to all theatre owners on Thursday evening after it declared that its ‘2021 slate’ of Movies will all be released in the Theatres as well as on HBO Max on the same time.

The industry and the trade experts are heard saying that the theatre, due to this move, might turn to a secondary viewing medium and make the Covid-19 pandemic’s loss, irrecoverable.
The Warner Bros’ move that was announced later in the evening on Thursday is said to be “a Consumer-Centric Distribution Model” which is “Created as a Strategic Response to the Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic. (Especially in the US)”
As cinemas struggle to restart operations despite reopening permits in many parts of the world, that is, if they haven’t have shut shop completely, several media and entertainment industry experts say the Warner move, sounds the death knell of the theatre business, in many ways.
