On Thursday, the Uttarakhand government has decided to reduce the annual fees for MBBS courses from Rs. 4 lakh to Rs. 1.45 lakh, terming it as the lowest in the country.
Subodh Uniyal, the cabinet minister and also the spokesperson of the state government said on Thursday evening that the proposal was approved in the cabinet meeting which was convened by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Subodh Uniyal also said that the cabinet also cleared the Mukyamantri Mahila Poshan Yojana in which the women in the state will be given nutritious food like fruits, dry fruits, and eggs for two days a week.
