Cow Dung plaster is not new to rural Indian people. It is commonly used in rural India as it is considered auspicious and has the best natural disinfectants with antibacterial properties inclusive. Cow dung cakes are used as cooking fuel in rural as well as urban areas of the country. Cow dung paint, according to a Vellore Institute of Technology paper that was published by five students, can improve the air quality around and inside the house. It can also reduce the need for Air Conditioning as the paint acts as an insulator and also keeps the heat out in summers while holding the heat inside in Winters.
