On Monday, the Indian Medical Association alerted the central and state governments that the predicted Third Wave of Coronavirus pandemic is “Inevitable and Imminent”.
As reported by NDTV, the Doctors’ association said that the “tourist bonanza, pilgrimage travel, religious fervour” can wait as the entire country, currently, should do nothing but follow Covid protocols for at least three more months.
“Opening up these rituals and enabling people without vaccination to go scot-free in these mass gatherings are potential super spreaders for the Covid third wave,” the association said in a statement.
The warning by IMA comes in when huge gatherings of the countrymen are seen in tourist places leading to breaking the Covid-19 protocols.
