The Board for Control for Cricket in India, on Saturday announced a dynamic 19-men squad led by skipper Virat Kohli and his vice Rohit Sharma. Players that were expected to be playing for India have got a chance in the T20 Squad this year.
The IPL 2020 start, Varun Chakravarthy, who was ruled out of the Australia has earned his maiden call-up for the national team. The BCCI has also called up Rahul Tewatia, who left his mark on IPL 2020, with some stellar show of power-hitting as he represented the Rajasthan Royals.
Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan made his way into the T20I squad on the same day he smashed 173 runs in 94 balls for Jharkhand in a Vijay Hazare match against Madhya Pradesh. By picking Kishan, wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson was dropped from the squad.
Rishabh Pant, who was dropped for the limited-overs leg of the Australia tour, made it back to the team after putting consistent performances in the Test format, in Australia, and in India.

Jasprit Bumrah will not be a part of the squad playing against England. But, veteran speedster Bhuvaneshwar Kumar has been included in the T20 squad after being sidelined for months due to injury. The pacer had sustained an injury during the IPL 2020 in UAE and had to pull out of the cash-rich tournament mid-way.
Mumbai Indians’ show stealer in 2020, Suryakumar Yadav has also received a maiden call up for India.

The T20 series will begin on March 12 and subsequent matches will be played with a gap of two days. All the five matches will be played at the grand Motera stadium in Ahmedabad. England is yet to announce its squad for the T20 series.
