Giving a push to the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan, India will soon start to produce 108 military equipment which will also include complex defence systems. A formal announcement related to the matter is likely to be made next week by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
In the parliamentary constituency in Lucknow, when the minister was speaking to the reporters, he said that this move will raise the bar of the country’s capability. He also added that several defence projects, along with the BrahMos in Lucknow are being tracked. He also said that the ministry is committed to extend its support for the production of defence and to reduce the dependency on imports.
