PlayStation 5 by Sony is set to be revealed on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at 1 pm PT (1:30 am IST (Sep 17)).
During the show, it is expected to give a detailed report about the next-gen console.
“The showcase will feature updates on the latest titles from Worldwide Studios and our world-class development partners,” said a blog post.
“Before PlayStation 5 launches this holiday, we wanted to give you one more look at some of the great games coming to PS5 at launch (and beyond!),” stated the official invite of the event.
The console gaming community is now impatient about the Sony PlayStation 5 launch after Microsoft announced that the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles will launch on November 10. Microsoft has priced the higher variant at ₹49,990 for the Series X and ₹34,990 for the cheaper Xbox Series S.
Sony is expected to sell its console at a similar price.
The specifications for Ps5 are said to be
– a custom eight-core AMD Zen 2 CPU clocked at 3.5GHz
– a custom GPU based on AMD`s RDNA 2 architecture hardware
– 10.28 teraflops and 36 compute units clocked at 2.23GHz.
– a 16GB of GDDR6 RAM
– a custom 825GB SSD.
The PS5 will also have a 4K Blu-ray drive and will still support discs, but those games will still necessitate installation to the internal SSD.
