Sonu Sood, the Bollywood actor emerged out as ‘People’s Samaritan’, as we have all seen him during this COVID -19 pandemic. He’s been the messiah, a savior for all those migrant workers and thousands of commoners living a difficult life here in difficult situations after a strict lockdown.
In another recent tweet, Sonu announced scholarships for those underprivileged kids with a desire to pursue education on a higher level. The scholarships will be in the name of his late mother, Saroj Sood.

After the tweet, Sonu received an immense amount of love, respect, and congratulatory messages for this praiseworthy deed and humanitarian efforts.

The actor talked about witnessing the struggles of underprivileged parents as they strive to pay for their children’s education, in an interview with TOI.
“While some did not have phones to attend online classes, others did not have money to pay the fees. So, I have tied up with universities across the country to offer scholarships under the name of my mother, Professor Saroj Sood. She used to teach in Moga (Punjab), free of cost. She had told me to take her work ahead, and I feel that this is the right time,” he said.
The moment Sonu Sood received a tweet about people’s problems, within a few hours he himself would come to help, organize buses and transport routes.
The actor became the real-life superhero during the initial phases of lockdown who has been appreciated for his relentless efforts by the bus drivers, the stranded migrant workers , labourers , netizens and every little page on social media sites.
