On Sunday evening, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar was seen feeling low on Sunday. The reason behind him feeling a little uneasy was because an abdominal pain that Pawar going through. The NCP chief was immediately rushed to South Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital.
After Sharad Pawar was taken to the hospital due to the pain, the medical report showed that Pawat might undergo a surgery for the gall bladder problem that was diagnosed, party leader Nawab Malik informed on Monday.
The incident took place a day after the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the NCP Chief Sharad Pawar met in the city of Ahmedabad, leaving the others clueless about their conversation. The NCP then, on Monday, declared that Pawar will be going through an endoscopy and surgery on March 31.
Nationalist Congress Party’s National Spokesperson and Maharashtra Minority Development Minister Nawab Malik threw light on the issue and said that Pawar was taken to Breach Candy Hospital on Sunday night after complaining of pain in his abdomen. The doctors diagnosed it as a problem of stone in the gallbladder, and Pawar subsequently returned home.

“He is on blood-thinning medication which is now being stopped due to this issue. He will be admitted in hospital on the 31st of March 2021 and an endoscopy and surgery will be conducted. Hence, all his programmes stand cancelled until further notice,” the NCP spokesperson said.
In the afternoon, Mr Pawar himself tweeted saying Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan had called him asking him of his health.

Amidst a major problem in the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi government led by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Pawar has been diagnosed with his illness.
The NCP is part of this coalition, along with the Shiv Sena and the Congress.
Meanwhile, Pawar has cancelled all public programmes till further notice.
Sharad Pawar is an 80-year-old, cancer survivor and had undergone surgery for his illness in the year 2014.
