Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad said today that starting from 24 January, schools will reopen in Maharashtra for classes 1-12 following appropriate Covid protocols. Maha CM Uddhav Thackeray also agreed to this proposal.
Varsha Gaikwad, Maharashtra School Education Minister said, “We have also decided to open pre-primary schools (from January 24).”
As the number of cases started increasing from December, the government of Maharashtra had announced in this month that schools will remain closed in the state till February 15.
