During a rally, in a veiled attack on Yogi Adityanath after the UP CM pitched for renaming Hyderabad to Bhagyanagar,AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said, “Your entire generation will end but Hyderabad’s name will not change.”
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi attacked Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath after he pitched for changing the name of Hyderabad to Bhagyanagar at an election rally in the city on Saturday. Asaduddin Owaisi the entire generation of those who want to rename Hyderabad will end but the city’s name will not change.
On Friday,slamming the ruling TRS and AIMIM over alleged misgovernance and corruption, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said that the electorate should give a message through the December 1 Hyderabad civic polls that they would not give the liberty to loot.
Yogi Adityanath is one of several star campaigners the BJP has deployed for campaigning in the run-up to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) civic body polls.
In Hyderabad, while addressing a rally, CM Adityanath said, “Some people were asking me if Hyderabad can be renamed as Bhagyanagar. I said – why not. I told them that we renamed Faizabad as Ayodhya and Allahabad as Prayagraj after BJP came into power in UP. Then why Hyderabad can’t be renamed as Bhagyanagar?”
Asaduddin Owaisi said, “Jo Hyderabad ka naam badalna chahta hai uski naslein tabah ho jaayengi lekin naam nahi badlega. Hum Ali ke naam leva hain, hum tumhara naam tabdeel kar denge [The ones who want to change the name of Hyderabad, their entire generation will end but Hyderabad’s name won’t change. We speak the name of Ali, we will change your name]”
Asaduddin Owaisi said, “I tell you [voters], you have to answer those people who want to change the name of the city [Hyderabad].” The AIMIM chief then went on to take a veiled dig at Yogi Adityanath, saying it doesn’t look like Hyderabad municipal corporation polls but like “we are electing a prime minister”.
Furthermore, Asaduddin Owaisi also took a dig at PM Narendra Modi for his visit to the United States in October 2019 and said the prime minister had endorsed Donald Trump as the next president of the United States. Donald Trump lost to Democrat and now President-elect Joe Biden in the US Presidential elections.
