Amid the rise in Covid-19 cases and the concerning threat of the new variant, the Supreme Court has decided to shift the physical hearings to the virtual mode for 2 weeks.
From October last year, the SC has resumed the physical hearing of cases and it had been hearing cases through video conferences since March 2020.
A statement was issued on Sunday evening wherein the SC administration stated that an earlier circular prescribing the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for physical hearing will stay suspended for the time being.
