A sample of Patanjali’s Cow Ghee couldn’t pass the Central Laboratory Test of the Food Safety Department. Due to this failure, a case will be filed by the Food Safety Department against the company in the Additional District Magistrate’s court. As per the report of Amar Ujala, samples of open rice filled from a restaurant also couldn’t pass during the same period.

During a press conference on October 27, 2021, District Designated Officer MN Joshi said that a cow ghee sample from Patanjali was sent to the state laboratory for examination. The sample of Ghee was taken from Kharola & Sons Shop. Moreover, a sample of open rice was also sent from Bisht Restaurant in Selupani which was sent to the laboratory for examination during the Chardham Yatra on May 14, added the District Designated Officer.

It was on August 16 that it was found out that the rice sample test was not a success. A notice is being issued to the owner of the restaurant. A case will be filed against this if there is no satisfactory reply to it.
